Vintner 1.2.0

A vineyard is only the beginning

Vintner connects cultivation, production, ageing, and collection into one physical Minecraft winemaking loop. The land matters. The vessel matters. The cellar matters. Every bottle can carry the evidence.

Cultivation

Build real vineyard rows

Grow red and white cultivars on connected, two-block-high trellises with corners, junctions, automatic braces, vertical rows, uneven terrain support, pruning, regrowth, and vanilla wood variants.

  • Prepared vineyard soil and condition inspection
  • Renewable cuttings through pruning
  • Starter cuttings through farmers, traders, and village loot

Production

Guide a persistent batch

Press four matching grapes into red or white must, ferment complete batches, transfer wine to ageing vessels, cellar the bottles, then inspect and catalogue the finished vintage.

  • Manual press, fermentation barrels, and ageing vessels
  • Visible progress and comparator support
  • Persistent batches with metadata preservation

Cellaring

Design for the wine

Shelter, depth, darkness, humidity, nearby heat, temperature stability, and machinery disturbance all contribute to a cellar’s performance.

  • Good conditions help wine develop
  • Poor storage causes progressive damage and spoilage
  • Individual bottles continue ageing where applicable

Wine quality

Quality is earned across the whole vintage

Every wine receives a persistent score from 0–100. Vineyard conditions, pressing, fermentation, ageing, the vessel, cellar conditions, and bottle storage can all leave a mark.

Higher-quality wines can offer stronger and longer benefits, better food-pairing potential, fewer faults, greater estimated value and prestige, and more ageing potential.

Vintages & provenance

A bottle keeps its story

Wine retains its identity through production. Two bottles of the same basic wine can become meaningfully different vintages.

The Vintner’s Almanac

Read the bottle, vessel, or cellar

Inspect provenance, quality breakdown, tasting profile, body, finish, style, estate identity, bottle age, cellar history, estimated value, and prestige.

The Almanac can tell whether a bottle should be held, enjoyed now, is past its peak, or has spoiled. It can also inspect cellar environments and ageing vessels directly in the world.

Ageing strategies

Different choices, not upgrade tiers

The cooperage treatment system and Cooper’s Mallet let each vessel play a distinct role in the cellar.

Balanced

Standard Barrel

Reliable, general-purpose ageing.

Bold

Toasted

Faster development for powerful reds, with greater risk.

Gentle

Seasoned

Slower ageing that preserves primary fruit character.

Bulk

Cellar Cask

Eight-bottle maturation at a deliberately slower pace.

Physical cellar storage

A cellar you can walk through

Vintner deliberately favours physical, visible bottle storage over GUI-heavy inventories. Stored bottles retain their individual metadata and continue ageing where applicable.

Catalogue without consuming the bottle

Record up to sixteen unique wine batches. Rescan an existing batch to update its record, then use the Almanac to inspect the stored collection.
